I did not write this book alone.

That sounds like something authors say. In this case it is just true.

From the family members who encouraged me to keep going when this was still just a letter to my sister, to the artist who created a cover I could not be more grateful for, to every early reader who took the time to sit with these pages and tell me honestly what they thought, this book exists because of people who believed in it before it was a book.

I am grateful for every single one of you.
